It is with a tinge of sadness, but also a great pleasure, that I hand over the Chair of Cruck Cottage Heritage to our talented and very capable member Sue Hughes. Also very pleased that Moira Weatherup has agreed to become Vice Chair.
I was a founder member of our group in 2003, and have been Chairman now for 18 years. Past time to hand over to someone younger and more mentally agile!
Sue has vast experience in museums and historic buildings, and is well qualified for the position. Since she and husband Tom joined us, they have brought great new ideas and initiatives, from which we have already seen great benefit.
Throughout the years I have been fortunate to have had excellent support, not only from Committee members past and present, but also from our local, and wider, community.
I hope to continue as a Committee member and Trustee, and help whenever I can.
The future of our cottage is in safe hands.
