On Wednesday we hosted a visit to the cottage by Collin Social Group, and gave them a brief history of the castle, Torthorwald village and the cottage. Our entry for the Torthorwald Scarecrow Day, 2016. Another great day for the village, despite the weather! A lot of hard work goes into this, both by the organisers and those who take part. Well done to all.
Sadly, we did not have an Easter event at the cottage this year. However, we did open the cottage on Easter Sunday, and lit the peat fire. Our Cruck Christmas event this year was held on Saturday, 5th December. Despite the dreadful weather, a good number of our friends came along, and clearly had a very pleasant evening.
