We are pleased to say that we have been awarded a grant from the New Scots Activities fund. The aim of this fund is to enable communities across D & G to celebrate their culture and diversity, promoting integration. With this in mind, in the new year, we will be inviting our Ukrainian friends to a Kitchen Ceilidh at the Cottage, where performers from both communities will give a performance of music, song, recitations or stories. We will then gather together again to make traditional crafts that can be presented to each other. After a really successful visit from the Ukrainian community earlier this year, we hope this project will be the beginning of an ongoing relationship.
