Torthorwald Scarecrow DayWe took part in Torthorwald Scarecrow day on Saturday, 5th September.

The peat fire was burning in the cottage, and we attracted a good number of visitors.

The Cottage can be visited at any time of the year. A list of Keyholders, who all live nearby, is displayed in the Cottage.

Entry is free but contributions towards the upkeep of the Cottage are always welcome.

Directions

The Cottage is situated in the village of Torthorwald.

It is signposted off the A709 Dumfries – Lockerbie Road and is in the centre of the village on Shieldhill Road.
